Car seats for a two year age gap and fairly small car!

Now remembering the hours we spent deliberating over cars seats before DD1 was born, and feel like we're back to square one 😅

We'll soon have an almost two year old and a newborn. Toddler is currently rear facing in a Joie 360 that goes from birth up to age 4. Chose it as we wanted something that would last a fair while (we don't use the car that much so wear and tear not a massive concern) and liked the longer RF option. We tried it behind the driver's seat initially but it left little legroom.

Ideally we'd keep toddler rear facing for a while yet, so either she stays in the Joie or we get her a new one. Does anyone know of any rear facing seats (whether for the baby or toddler) that would last a fair few years but don't take up so much legroom, so we can put them behind the driver's seat? Thank you!

Yes - you're in luck :) I would look at Axkid Minikid 2 (or Move) which are reduced to about £200 at the moment for Black Friday or the Klippan seats which the in car safety centre have on clearance for £125/150.

Joie is nice for the spin feature but isn't the roomiest for rear facing for the child especially past two or so.

The nice thing about the Klippan (not the KISS or Triofix, I'd give those a miss) and Axkid seats are that they last up to the size of an average 7yo so no matter what growth centiles your LO is on, you know it will last as long as you need.
