Relations car seat moldy in my car

So I have a day trip out with a relation and I'm terrified of germs I've been worrying so much about it. But if the carseat was moldy even a bit and in my car, would that damage my daughters lungs sitting beside the seat or leave mold on my cars actual seats.

Why would it be mouldy?

If is doing a lot of heavy lifting in your post. Was the car seat mouldy?

I suggest getting help for your anxiety around germs to be honest. It's not healthy for your child to have a parent who worries to this extent about situations that are fictitious.

Yeah so my fictional situations are based on real events that have happened to cause mold based illnesses to my parent and the fact that mold can be dangerous.
Yes the seat had visible mold and no I didn't put it in my car. Thanks for the uplifting help in your comments.....not

It was stored in a shed, not even in a bag....yes it had mold on it very bad actually and I didn't put it in my car

Cmy child is a happy healthy child who loves getting dirty, playing in playgrounds, with friends and in creche......I don't have crippling anxiety against germs, mold spreads fast infecting everything

Hi OP,
I would avoid using a mouldy car seat for you child for two reasons:

  1. mould spores aren’t great for young developing lungs
  2. if there’s mould on the straps of a car seat then it could be affecting the integrity of the straps. You can’t clean mould off car seat straps safely without using chemicals that would also damage the straps, so the straps need to be cut and seat disposed of so it can’t be used again

It is mould.
