Car seat for tall baby

Hello
Wondering if anyone has recommendations for a car seat for my 8 month old. I currently have the cybex sirona gi which I'm really happy with. We now need a car seat for our second car. I was considering getting the same one, but I have a big baby (both in terms of weight and height) so am wondering if there are other options we should consider that we might get more use out of? Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

Axkid Minikid 4. I have a 98th centile child (for length) and when I checked this one has the biggest torso space. It also rear faces to 36kg, so basically should last the longest for a higher centiles child.

Just to say the Cybex Sirona Gi maxes out for length at 105 cms, which isn't very high for a higher centiles child. Although weight wise it goes to 20kg rear facing, it won't last to that weight if your child is tall.

Really helpful, thanks @Welshcake15
I'll look into the axkid, that looks like what we need! I only just realised the sirona only goes up to 105cm. I haven't managed to measure him recently but I think he can't be that far off the height restriction.

I'd guess he probably has a while yet. 105cms is the average length of a 4 year old. My 2 year old daughter was measured the other day and is 98 cms and is around the 98th centile (she'd be slightly lower centiles if she was a boy as their height chart is different). So he'd probably have a few years left in his current seat no problem, but would likely not make it to 4, which is why it might not be worth buying a similar car seat if you want to rear face to the recommended age of at least 4.

I've just attempted to measure him and reckon he's about 80cm which is off the chart. So it looks like he'll have a while yet as you say, but definitely doesn't make sense to buy another that only goes up to 105cm. I definitely want him to rear face for as long as possible. Thanks for your help :)

Yes the Axkids are good. There is also Besafe Stretch and the Britax Max Space/Safe Way M.

Look for seats which rear face up to 125cm. The Avionaut Sky is a bit shorter than the others, though.

If you're not sure on length you could ask the Health Visitor for an ad hoc check. Mine are happy to fit me in if I need something like that.

Thanks @BertieBotts - I'll take a look
@Welshcake15 good idea, my HV is due a visit soon so will ask her then
