Baby safe 5z2 and Uppababy vista 2015 compatibility

I’m due in August and still some time to go but started looking at a mind blowing world of car seats. A Facebook group accused me of not caring for my unborn child’s safety so hope for some more friendly mums!

im eyeing Britax Romer Baby safe 5z2 and need to find out if it’s compatible with Uppababy vista 2015 model. Britax Romer says on their website the seat is compatible with Vista v2 and I understand that models 2015 up will have all the v2 fittings working but Britax would not confirm it (someone already asked)

can anyone advise?

Should be fine, as it uses the same adapters. If they say the V2 fits, there's no reason it wouldn't work with the 2015 version.

Britax aren't going to confirm it because in order to do this they would have to have every single buggy in their warehouse to test all their car seats with - they don't do this. They just get a few of the most popular ones.

No idea why you were told you don't care about safety - that's one of the safest car seats on the market!

Did you have any luck with your car seat? I also have a second hand uppababy 2016 and I can’t find out which current infant car seats are compatible? If the car seat adapters are the same for vista v1 and vista v2 and If Britax say that they fit V2 surely it also fits a v1? Would
love to know how you got on.

Yes it will be fine. If you already have the buggy you can also take it into a shop and ask to check which seats fit on it.

I would love to ask you another question. I have successfully fit a Britax Baby Safe Pro to
my UppaBaby Vista 2015+ V1 but it rocks ever so slightly on the pram frame. Do you know if this is normal? Britax told me to contact UppaBaby and the company who I bought the seat from said it is perfectly normal.

I had a BeSafe infant capsule on an UppaBaby Vista. It used to rock a little too, but then so did the carry cot and toddler seat. You want a solid install of your infant capsule in the car (although you will get little movement if you use isofix rather than belted install), but it’s less concerning on the pram.

Agree with this. In all the buggies I've had with car seat adapters, there is some movement in it, and it gets more pronounced as the buggy gets older. And yes, same with the toddler seat and the carrycot attachment too.
