Nuna turtle air car seat in a 2013 Yaris?

I’ve decided on the Bugaboo Dragonfly, and there’s a package that includes the nuna turtle air car seat. Problem is it says it’s only comparable with a Toyota Yaris from 2017 onwards. How is that possible? I’m trying to see if it would actually fit my 2013 Yaris, and perhaps they just haven’t tested any models pre 2017. Anyone have experience with how strict compatibility is? It just seems crazy how limited the options are.

If your car has i-size seating positions (there will be a label with a letter i next to the isofix points) - this is likely in a car of this age - then there is no need to consult a fitting list at all, any i-size seat, which the Nuna Turtle Air is, is compatible :)

Bear in mind that compatability just means it will physically fit. You might want to look at a fit check (physically try the seat in your car) to see how easy it is to maneuvre the seat in and out of the door and what the angle is like for the baby and how much space you'll have to move the front seat back.

I contacted the company and it says it’s not on their comparability list because it didn’t pass safety tests. This is so vague, it could just be that they didn’t test it.
