Mini Countryman

Hi! I currently drive a Mini Clubman and have a 2 year old child. It’s been absolutely fine, but I’m now due to get a new car (I do the 4 years payments and change car instead of paying the balloon at the end).

We would love another child, and I just feel like I’d like something a little bit higher up / a bit more space. A family member has a Mini Countryman I’ve been able to try out and it’s been great for me and my son, so I’m thinking possibly one of these.

My question is, does anybody with two young children have a Countryman and if so would you recommend it? Whatever I get I’ll have until my son is 7 and hopefully fingers crossed another child from baby through the toddler years. I just worry I should be going for something bigger. All advice would be very appreciated! Thankyou :-)

I have had a countryman for 8 years now. I have 2dds - 5 and 2. I managed to fit the pram in when we used it but if it was in the boot, nothing else could go in. I didn't mind using the passenger seat though for extras if it was just me with the kids.

I did think I should get rid when dd2 was born but I love my mini and I'm glad I still have it. I can fit the kids' scooters in (they fold) and it's great fun to drive.

Thankyou so much for your feedback! They are lovely cars aren’t they, and it’s really helpful to know they’re still practical when the little ones are a bit older. I imagine the boot feels quite big once the pram isn’t in there anymore!
