Maxi Cosi cabriofix just out of storage - do these straps look ok? Unsure if marks are mould...

Hi. I'm feeling a bit anxious as I've read all sorts of diff things about carseats coming out of storage and whether safe if they have any mould on etc.

We had been storing it in the attic - it looks totally fine, been up there about a year.

Only issue is one of the straps has two little spots on it, and I'm not sure if they are mould. In the same place there are some white marks so wondering if perhaps the marks and sports have all come from an old milk spill when DD was little that we didn't wash off properly.

OH thinks it's fine and doesn't think the spots are mould. Generally the straps look good and fibres not compromised but I'm worried about the spots!

If we wash them off with some warm water and gentle washing detergent, plus put the rest of the covers through the wash do you think this will be ok?

TIA for your help. I'm feeling so worried about this! And not sure if it's reasonable.

First pic is the straps on top side. Second pic of the spots, third pic of the white marks.

I can’t see anything. Run them through the watching machine at a 40 wash in a pillowcase?

They look fine, nylon is extremely durable.
Those straps will go to landfill one day and they’ll be here longer than you will.

Doesn't look like mould to me. I'd wash them and use the seat.

I’d wash the covers and wipe the straps down with some milton solution but they look fine and I don’t see the mould.
