Hi all. My nephew has family coming to stay for a few weeks and needs 2 car seats. Any ideas gratefully accepted.

Age and weight of children?

CeliaBD · 31/07/2022 17:45

6yrs - 23kg and 1yr - 9.5 kg

Joie do some inexpensive ones that would work for both. The trillo for the 6yo and the juva for the 1yo, or tilt if they want a bit more space (would recommend using rear facing). It will probably be cheaper to buy these than rent anything and she'll have all instructions and know that they haven't been in an accident. If she doesn't need the seats going forward, donate them to a charity shop.

Sorry he not she!

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 31/07/2022 17:51

Won't they bring their own ones?

CeliaBD · 31/07/2022 19:30

Unfortunately not. They are coming over from Holland for a holiday. They're not travelling by car to here.

Thanks for this, I'll pass it on.

I'd do a high back booster for the 6 year old and a non i size infant seat (13kg, no height limit) for the 1 year old I think unless he will be back often then I'd get a 18kg+ ERF seat.

Joie, Britax, cybex, maxi cosi are good brands to look at

Thanks all. I don't have a car and have never bought a car seat and my nephew doesn't have kids, so you've been very helpful.
