Struggling for a car seat in MG ZS

Hello all,
We've got a MG ZS and its time to buy a new car seat for our 1 year old as he's now too large for the one he's in.
He's old enough to move to a forward facing seat so we are looking for one that'll last a while.
We got the Maxi-Cosi Titan however the rear seats in the MG are too reclined so the car seat isn't fully backed onto the seats backrest so its not safe. We've tried another brand too but had the same problem.
I've Double checked to see whether our cars' rear seats have a recline option and sadly not.
We've also adjusted the recliner settings on the car seat we've bought and this didn't work either.

Has anyone else had this problem on their car or have any ideas on what seat we could look to go for?

I can't remember what make we had but it was like this one ie had a separate lap restraint cushion which works on the normal seat belt.
Would something like that work?

This looks like a good shout, it appears to recline which would solve the problem I think.
I take it the impact shield is for when they are still really young and as they grow up you'll move to the seatbelt?

I don’t have the same car, but this site was very useful when I changed car and needed something to fit!

Hi! I'm afraid I don't know about that car, but I know about car seat safety and a 1 year old baby is far too young to forward face (ideally not until age 4) I recommend joining a Facebook group which has experts on who will know the car and be able to recommend a seat that fits. Group names: Car Seat Safety UK and Car Seat Advice UK are both fab as well as Extended Rear Facing (ERF) Car Seats. Good luck and hope you find something to continue rear facing your little one as if it's 5x safer and will literally save their life in a crash.

Thank you, I'll give that Facebook page and website a look

We’ve had a couple of issues getting seats for our vehicles so have looked into where can help with unusual fittings.
If you’re really stuck you could try somewhere that will find a seat for you. In Car Safety Centre have locations in Essex, Milton Keynes and Belfast: incarsafetycentre.co.uk/safety-centre These guys also have lots of information on their website.
Or if you’re in the Midlands then these guys have an excellent fitting service: carseatsafetycentre.com
If your not near any of these places I’m sure there’s somewhere near you that does a similar service. I was driving myself mad trying to research it all by the end! Good luck.
