FF car seat to be used on a plane

Hoping someone can help because I'm going around in circles!

I'm wanting/needing to travel overseas later this year. As I'll be the only adult and will have twins under 2 years old at least one of them needs to be in a car seat in their own seat

I need a FF seat which can be fitted with the 2 point airplane seat. And I cannot find one - there has to be one out there right?! All of the googling I've done has come up with 2 seats, neither of which are still on sale (Britax Eclipse and Diono)

Has anyone flown with one in the cabin and able to tell me which car seat they had please?

Britax Eclipse is still on sale. Why do you think it isn't? Britax have it listed on their website. Also if you are only going to use in on the plane, you could always get one second hand.

Other than that I've seen people use a Joie Tilt. It's not officially approved but they just fitted it with a lap belt through the normal belt path and nobody questioned it.

It's on their site but it's been out of stock there and everywhere else for over a year now (possibly longer as I wanted to buy one when my older son was under 2 and couldn’t)

What about Cares harness instead of a seat? If the airline will accept it, it’ll be easier too as you won’t need to drag it through the airport.

Have you checked on eBay? I know you shouldn't buy second hand seats and I wouldn't for use in a car, but for this is could be an option.

I was going to suggest a CARES harness too. I used it for a toddler so that she didn't have to sit on my knee for takeoff etc. It would be much easier to pack.

They're very good points, I've got a Brittax one and they're massive and a real faff to lug across the airport and that's without twins.

Aaah perhaps they've stopped making them.
