Does car tinting stop sun from coming in car?

Hi Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place. I have a young baby and need something to block sun out of back of car.

My husband is convinced if we get the windows tinted this will be sufficient.

Currently we are using one of those things that go over the whole window, but it doesn’t keep the light out fully, the tiny triangle windows let sun in on his face and I don’t know how to cover that up.

Does anyone know if tinted windows would work? Thanks so much

My car has tinted windows in the back. Yes no sunny glare at all and I did not need additional protection in a v sunny country at the time. I don’t know if it’s cost effective to tint an existing window though.

It doesn't block 100% of all sun but it is much better for them.

I have tinted windows and DS still sneezes in the sun! I guess it depends how much tint you're planning on!

We have dark windows and still need a cover on the window for DD.
