Stage 1 FF seat for tall toddler

Hard to know how much info to put because it's a bit complex - the title isn't really accurate 😅

DD is outgrowing her current stage 1 seat (Cybex Pallas) on height - she has 2cm left in it but she is only 13kg (medical condition, actually very healthy!) and not even nearly developmentally ready to be in a HBB. She is FF due to car sickness (extreme, projectile!!). Can anyone steer me where to look? Maybe @BertieBotts can help? I'd love to get one for £100 but am prepared to pay £200 or more if necessary to protect her.

I’ve got a britax romer but I can’t remember which model and it’s a good seat. It’s probably worth looking at which magazine as they will show which ones are safest and which suit a taller child. Do read the break down of the test scores because, for example, the britax romer I bought is very good on isofix but only ok if belted. I only use isofix. I needed FF because ds kept escaping mid journey.

Joie Bold is forward facing and has a harness up to 25kg, would that be any good?

Yes I will look at that one thank you - although she is mega skinny but I'm guessing 25kg seats might be good for height too.

We have a tall, heavier toddler and she has been in a diono radian 5 for a while. This is ff and rf up to 25kg. We love it as it’s more upright like a proper seat but she will be in it for another two years hopefully (3.5 now). The only problem is they’re not really available new anymore so you have to find them secondhand from someone you’re happy to purchase from. We’ve bought two now from grandparents so they’ve not been used much.

Last bump on this one before I have to commit to a seat :)

Hey sorry I didn't see your tag before.

Joie Bold is indeed one of the tallest harnesses out there even if you don't need the weight capacity. I'd go for that as it has top tether as well, which is important for taller children.
