Group 2 car seat to fit a Kuga???

We've just changed our main family car to a Kuga (68 reg) and have found our car seats don't fit - the joys of buying a car during lockdown! (we can't get the seat belt buckle in because the base is too wide) Halfords have told us that we won't be able to get an isofix group 2 seat that fits because of the design of the backseat but these are really popular cars with families so I just don't believe their assessment at all.

If anyone has a kuga (again we're in a 68 reg) could you tell me what group 2 seats you have that fit correctly with isofix please?

Do you mean group 2 high back boosters? Or harnessed seats? How old is DC?

No that doesn't sound right what Halfords have said.

What seats do you have at the moment? It might be to do with the shape of the bases rather than anything else. In the meantime it's safe to use high backed booster seats without the isofix, just push them over towards the door in order to plug the buckle in.

Thanks, we had to go for high-backed boosters without isofix as we couldn't get any advice from retailers, kids are happy as they have new seats that have cup holders and arm rests - it's the little things
