An extended rear facing to 25kg is your best bet, but you'll need to consider your child's weight/height/level of maturity as well as the space available and the car it is to go in. Which? reviews aren't great for car seats as they take things like colour into consideration instead of just assessing the safety aspects.

I agree with the PP - which reports aren't very well regarded for car seats. Try joining the Facebook group 'car seat advice for mummies and daddies' because it's run by car seat experts.

Also agree that 25kg rear facing seats are great - try the Axkid Minikid and Britax Two Way Elite if you're interested.

The technical part of the reports is taken from the ADAC tests which are freely available www.adac.de/infotestrat/tests/kindersicherung/kindersitz-test/default.aspx?ComponentId=29903&SourcePageId=31900
The rest of the report is just stuff like ease of washing, instructions etc, Which? don't actually conduct any crash testing themselves so better to take the safety info from ADAC and then look at user reviews for the other stuff, also agree with PP the Facebook group mentioned above is excellent
