Help! Stick with harness or move to a high back booster with a better safety rating???

Ok so my daughter is nearly 4 and weighs just over 15kg. Looking to get her a seat for our second car and have narrowed it down to the Britax Evolva 123 sl sict or the Britax Kidfix sl. The evolva will keep her in the 5 point harness longer which i understand is safer. The Kidfix is a stage 2/3 so she will use the cars seat belt but according to the Which? report comes out at a higher safety rating than the Evolva. The Evolva also has a recline feature that would be a bonus for us.

So do we go for the option of keeping her in the 5 point harness or switch her to the hbb with a better safety score? What would you do???? Thanks

Do the straps on the evolva start above her shoulders? I found this was more of a problem than the weight limit of the 5 point harness.

You take the harness out of the evolva as child grows and use the seat belt

We have an Evolva in our main car and the height of the straps are fine for her.
Yes I know I can take the straps off the evolva but Im trying to decide which seat to go for, if I bought another evolva she could stay in the harness for longer which is safer. But the Kidfix is apparently a safer seat but she would need to use the cars seatbelt not the harness. this is what I can't decide between.

Ok think I've found a solution. The Kidfix xp sict II is a compromise as its got a better seatbelt design and a higher Which report for safety than the Evolva

I was told by Hakan, the very knowledgeable Swedish car seat safety guy, that after the age of approx 4, it's safer to have them in a good high-back booster with a seat belt than harnessed in a forward-facing seat. I don't know where the evidence for this comes from, but he certainly knows his stuff.

We have the evolva for my 4 year old.
Only just taken the straps off as she can't sit still!
15 kilos is the minimum weight for the car seat belt stages, as any lighter and the seat could throw the child forward if the belt is loose or has been undone.

Does your dd understand the importance of sitting still and upright?

I was told "every step up in car seat is a step down in safety". Not sure if this is still valid?
