Really struggling with erf decisions! Complicated car situation. Does anyone have the besafe Izi Kid X3 isofix?

Sorry for the long title!

I have a ford cmax 57 plate. It has isofix, but it also has underfloor storage, which means we cannot use an isofix seat that needs a prop, unless its a Besafe one, according to the nice lady I spoke to at Securatots.

She recommended the Izi Kid X3, but reading the reviews it seems that recline is a bit of a problem, and as ds quite often naps in the car that feels like a bit of an issue.

I have been struggling for several months now trying to decide what seat to get (and ds has pretty much now grown out of his current one so its getting a bit more urgent!) We really want to stick with an isofix seat if possible as its so much easier, but the options feel quite limited.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have the be safe izi i-size and the recline is brilliant and really helps for sleeping in the car. DS will only nap in the day if I drive him to sleep so this is vital for me! I didn't know that underfloor storage was ok with this seat that's handy to know. You could have it filled?

I also have the I-size and the recline is very good. I used to have the first model for my older child and her head used to flip forward due to the poor recline. I do t know what the decline is like on the X3, but just wanted to say there has been improvements.

captaincake yes apparently Besafe advise that its safe to use as long as you pad the storage area with polystyrene.....shame none of the other manufacturers say its ok!

Unfortunately the I-size looks like it might be a bit out of my budget, I can't really spend much more than about £300. (As I also need to fork out £700 for blinking men b jabs for both my boys - its not cheap keeping our children safe!)

We used the izi kid and it was great, no problems with recline in that it was far enough back for my boy's head not to be lolling forward, etc. I would though suggest looking at the besafe izi plus as it goes up to 25kg rather than 18 so will last much longer and the recline is better.

I have one too. No probs re recline. My son has almost outgrown it so I will be selling it soon but it's done the last 2.5 years brilliantly. Fantastic seat.
