Car seat recommendation for 18 month old who keeps escaping

Can anyone recommend a car seat which my 18 month old is unlikely to be able to escape from!? Currently she is able to wriggle her shoulders and manage to get her arms free from underneath the straps which buckle her in. Even when I pull them as tight as possible she still seems able to do this.

Have you tried the five point plus safety harness?

I in the end resorted to some sort of clip/snug thing that it's permitted in this country because it does carry risks - however the risk of death in an accident kind of over rode it!!!

Just checking your DD isn't wearing a coat/thick clothing?

My dd just has an incredibly slim build across the shoulders!

Haven't tried the 5 point harness - are they ok from a safety perspective. She's not wearing a coat or thick cardie and she's not slim build - more stocky than anything. She is just a determined escape artist and seems to make it her mission to escape now she knows she can.

The in car safety centre, sell the only two that are OK to use.

The 5 point plus is perfectly safe and legal to use in this country. It doesn't interfere at all with the one click release of the car seat harness. What it does is fill the gap under their arms making it much harder for them to wriggle out. I won't say impossible because I do know one child who can escape it!
