Do all maxi cosi seats fit all maxi cosi bases?

I have a travel system (Bebe comfort Loola) that I was given, the pushchair seat is fine but the car seat was broken. My mum found a carry cot that fitted and is just labeled maxi cosi. Are all maxi cosi elements the same underneath and interchangeable or will I have to find a specific one to fit the chassis?
Surely they're all the same so as to fit an isofix base?

No - they don't. We have family fix bases and the only car seats that fit on them are maxi cosi pebble and then pearl.

No. There are different isofix bases for different seats.

But it isn't the pushchair attachment bits that attach to the isofix base - it's a different part of the car seat so you still might be fine if the pushchair attachers are universal even though the isofix bits aren't.

Assume you mean the base that goes in the car and the seat itself slots on the top so you don't have to keep using the seat belt to secure it. I'm not an expert but I'm interested too as my 11mo is growing out of her car seat and we need a bigger one but I need to know if it will fit on the base.

Yes - do your mean the useful base for the car or do you mean fitting the car seat into a pram chassis? I presumed you meant the isofix base when I answered bit maybe you mean the pram?

I thought the OP was asking a theoretical question about the isofix base but her actual concern was whether a carrycot would fit the chassis.

The bits for the pushchair should be universal, but they're designed for a car seat to click onto the chassis. The bits for carrycots are often different though (we needed an extra bit on ours to fit the maxi cosi car seat), and I wouldn't like to put a non matching carry cot on a different base, it might not work very well.

Does it click into place so that you can't pull it off without pressing the buttons (or whatever) properly, and once it's in place is it flat? If so its fine to use.

I need a car seat to fit the chassis we have, the isofix is irrelevant really if it's not the same bits that secure into it.

The chassis is a Bebe confort Loola and the carry cot it a maxi cosi which made me wonder if all maxi cosi car seats would fit which would make buying one easier.

The carry cot has 2 fat flat prongs either side which clip in and need a button pushing either side to get them out.

The maxi cosy carseats fit on that pushchair but you need to buy adapters. Bebecomfort and maxicosy are really the same company

I know that the ones for the oyster fit the maxi cosi pebble, and the maxi cosi cabriofix, so I guess the car seat bits of the adapters are the same, regardless of which maxi cosi seat you have.

BUT - the adapters for the carry cot and the car seats are different IIRC. You could take the chassis to John Lewis and check for compatibility?
