Maxi cosi can I'm sure?

Why both? If the seat needs to be used in cars without ISOFIX why not just get one that you can belt in to any car?

MuscatBouschet · 17/02/2015 23:34

Because isofix is safer alicemum. I'd like to know the answer to this too...

Britax advansafix, lovely seat my 3 ye old fits in it well as does my 7tear old. I like the fact it's ISO fix, top tether and seat belt installation

Thanks amybabygypsyqueen.

We have isofix in our car and it's a lot safer but we go out with friends who don't have isofix at least twice a month so need both ??

We've got the I anchor and have been very pleased with it, especially because it's very simple to install and move between cars.

We have the Klippan kiss 2. Birth to 18kg rear facing and can use isofix or seatbelt. Their is an infant carrier section that can be removed from the base and used independently (seat belt fitted) like a stage 0 infant car seat.

It's great, lo has been comfy from birth (6lbs 10oz) until chunky 20 months. There's plenty of room for her to grow and I'm sure she'll be comfy until 3 1/2 or 4 depending on when she reaches weight limit

ISOFIX isn't necessarily safer, it was just invented as a simpler method of installing child seats. The only ISOFIX seat I've ever had is the Britax Kidfix high backed booster, and I only bought this so I didn't have to keep fastening the seatbelt over the empty seat not because I thought it was safer.

The Britax Advansafix must be fitted with ISOFIX, the seatbelt and the top tether at all times. It's not an either/or choice between using the ISOFIX or the seatbelt to fit it.

I have a hauck varioguard. It has a base that is isofix or belted.
