How do I loosen the straps on the Maxicosi Priori??

I've had the cabriofix and can easily loosen and tighten the straps. So I'm thinking the priori must have the same mechanism of loosening the straps. But I can't find a button to press to release them!! I really struggle to buckle him in and it would be so much easier if I could buckle him in with the straps loose then tighten them once he's in the seat, like I do with the cabriofix.

Could anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Is it like the tobi? With that you just pull them, just make sure the buckle is flat down to the seat when you do it.

There's absolutely no give in them when I pull them. I don't think the seat would do too well in an accident if I could just pull them to loosen them. I can pull the end part of the strap that comes out from underneath to tighten them ok, just can't loosen them. It's like I need to push a button to release them and pull at the same time (like the cabriofix) but I just can't seem to figure out where the button is.

I think there's a button in the bit where the strap comes out at the bottom. I think. We have that seat and you can loosen it.

We had the Tobi and I struggled at the beginning to find the release catch thing. It's kind of hidden in the bit where the spare end of strap pokes out, if that makes any sense? You have to slide your fingers in the gap to locate it.

No idea whether this makes sense or whether it's the same design on the priori!

instructions seem to suggest there is a release button.

does this help?

Yeah a quick google suggests there's a button. You can download instructions from the website.

The tobi does just pull though, it's not unsafe in an accident, I think that, and the way the straps hold themselves up when empty, are the only things which separate it from the priori. There's so many different types though! I remember struggling with the cabriofix when trying to bring dd home from hospital Blush

Thanks for your help everyone! I have managed to find the release button, And pull the correct parts of the straps.
