Group 0-1 Car Seat in the front seat?

Hi all!

Very confused by this car seat business so any clarification would help! I've got one of these Fisher-Price Safe Voyage Multi Group 0-1 Car Seat - Black, the type that reclines: www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9109304.htm

I've had it at the back, but wanted to know if I could put it in the front passenger seat for my daughter, aged 3.5, approximately 15kg? If not, could I have her in a booster seat at the front?
I'm not sure whether its age, weight or height that matters most, as my son is 2.5 yrs old, weighs more than DD but is a bit shorter, so could I have him up front?

I think the guidance is that the back is safest, if you HAVE to put it in the front, Rear Facing is safest for as long as possible, whether rear or front facing, the seat should be as far back as possible and the air bag (if there is one) should be disabled.

Also safest to keep them in a proper car seat rather than a booster for as long as you can.

Rear seat provides more protection should an accident occur.

Car seats go by weight/height, the ages are just an average.

A group 1 forward facing seat is outgrown when the tip of the child's ears are inline with the top of the seat or they reach the maximum weight limit (usually 18kg).

When the group 1 seat is outgrown you can use a booster, preferably a high backed one (group 2/3) as these provide side impact protection and correct positioning for the seatbelt.

Booster cushions provide no protection whatsoever and are being phased out by most manufacturers now and are to be made illegal I believe.
