ford fiesta zetec 2012 - britax or maxi cosi?

Hi
i need a car seat for my 11mth old for my mums car for short occasional journeys
a friend has an unused britax eclipse and a maxi cosi (model unknown) that we can have
does anyone know what fits in the car?
i have heard there can be problems with short seat belts in the focuses

If you check the manufacturers website there is drop down menus etc to help you chose the correct car seat.

My Ford Fiesta ST had very short seatbelts.

I wouldn't have thought the short seatbelts would be a problem with forward-facing seats. It's more for infant carriers.

The only exception would be a Group 1-2-3 combination seat, like the Britax Evolva, where you basically have to double up the seatbelt and feed both lap and diagonal parts through the seat a couple of times. I could not fit my Evolva in my BILs Ford Fiesta (an old W reg one) because the seatbelt was too short.

I've always had Britax seats, they are very good so I'd try the Eclipse to start with.
