Cybex aton...my baby is face planting when in it!

Help!

We have a cybex aton, and have been using the seat belt to fit it in.

However, our seats seem to slope down very steeply, meaning that when the cybex is flush to the seat (as it should be) the baby is pretty much dangling face forward!

My husband suggested a seatbelt extender, would this work? They are sports style seats so wondering if their design is a problem...

Sounds like you have bucket seats and this is the problem. Are the front seats the same. If not disable airbag and use that for baby. All infant baby sits will be the same.

Next stage look at rearfacing seats where you can adjust angle or get use a wedge like the besafe wedge for its Izi kid belted seat!

It's the actual seat of the car that's the issue.

Yes that's what I said. Bucket seats are a common problem. A seat belt extender wouldn't solve it and also isn't recommended as not crash tested.

We had to change our car cos it had bucket seats. Dh almost cried.

The car seat is the problem not the baby seat. Ask a specialist if there is a baby seat suitable it sounds rather unsafe for your child and pretty uncomfortable!!
