Which rear facing should I get? Experience of joie stages.

My twins are growing out of their infant carriers, they're 10 months but rather large (dtb was 10kg when weighed a month ago). They also don't like the position of the infant carriers anymore and would like to be more upright.

I was just going to buy forward facers but then started doing some research.....

So basically I'd like erf but obvs I can't buy really expensive as I have to buy two! Any experience f the joie stages? Is cheaper than the rest, is there a reason for this....?

we have be safe izi combi but not two of them, quite expensive but very good seat, worth going to somewhere properly trained to fit it as some cars are too small for this seat and someone to sit in front of them, apparently a problem some people only identified when they had ordered it via mail order and it arrived and couldn't be returned!

Thanks red. Yes the other prob is I can't try it as we're in France and they don't seem to do them here. The be safe is a bt pricey I think

We were going to try one in our camper but the advisor in Halfords said not to even try as it needs a really long seatbelt! So I certainly wouldn't buy one without seeing it first. We're lucky in that dd2 is tiny so we went for the First Class in the end - it should fit her rf well beyond 2. That may not be an option though if your son is big.

I found Securatot really helpful, might be worth giving them a ring? I'm leaning towards a Dualfix for the car but they're pricey too. Or have you looked into the Varioguard? They're meant to be released later this month.

Look at a britax twe or axkid if you have big children as they will last you the longest.

There is quite a recline on the joie stages and you may find this too much for your infants.

Amandine....again look at an Axkid if you are looking at a dualfix much longer usage for similar price.

I have the Joie stages for my 1okg 17 month old. It's really good, and has a good which review. I'd certainly recommend it.

It's the swivel that's swayed me! Dd1 had an Axiss and I loved the swivel function. Plus I read somewhere that Axkidd seats are easy for children to unbuckle themselves?

And like I said she's tiny so most seats will give us long usage really .

My friend just texted me - Mothercare have the Dualfix and 2 Besafes in their new catalogue! Are ERF seats actually becoming mainstream at last?! I wonder if they have them instore, anyone know?

I have the stages as my spare seat and so far am really happy with it. it is easy to fit which is crucial for grandparents and friends and feels secure. I also like the padding around the head which feels solid too.

I don't think the swivel is needed really with ERF and normal use. Its so much easier to get them in a ERF seat then FF seat.

So pleased they are in catalogue Sadly don't think they will be given shop space though.
