Besafe izi Kid X3 isofix in a VW Polo or Golf? And is Combi better?

Hi -

Does anyone have experience of getting a Besafe izi Kid X3 isofix in a VW Polo or Golf? We would be putting it in a Zipcar and they are the better value ones, I would just like to know if it's possible!

Also, can anyone tell me why you would get Combi rather than the Kid? I know that the Combi can be used forward facing as well... but if the whole idea is that rear facing is safer what would be the case for turning it around?

My friend got one in a mini but hardly any leg room. You need to try it and see.

Combi useful for the rare occasion you may need to use it belted in a break down truck...car without isofix etc!
