Maxi cosi pebble - aka the 'baby oven'

I've just had to endure 15mins of my DS crying his eyes out in the car & no bloody wonder - his back was really hot & sweaty when I took him out if his car seat! Angry

He had no blanket on & the car wasn't too warm either.

It's not the first time I've taken him out the seat & thought he was a bit warm but that was he first time DS has really protested.

Anyone else found the Pebble to be very warm?? (Mine is the red one)

Nope, I think car seats are just very warm.
We have taken to ensuring we wear one more layer than the kids, and keep the car temperature at the lower end of comfortable. Not very easy on the (very occasional) sunny days!

Yes, my chap gets super sweaty in the pebble. I sometimes just put him in a vest..

FannyFifer · 31/05/2013 21:41

I used to put a muslin behind DS to soak up some of the sweat.

We had other maxi cosi seats and were satisfied with them. In summer we had a towelling type cover that we used for the seat that made it more comfortable.

Add sheepskin. Keeps cool in summer and warm in winter

Never had the issue except on sunny day, but that's normal surely? We do use a towel and sheepskin though for comfort.

KnotsinaWame · 01/06/2013 17:34

I lined mine with a sheepskin.
