Can you fit three child seats in the back of a Renault Megane Scenic?

Has anyone got this type of car, and have you had three child seats in the back of it? Is it possible? DH is convinced that you cannot spread three child seats across the back, and one would need to be in front (with air bag disabled).

We will have three DC next month (being a host family to an 8yo from Belarus) and we're wondering where the seat is going to go?

At the moment my 2yo is sitting on a Britax car seat, and 5yo is sitting in a Graco one, for their ages/weight. We bought a £25 Graco child seat in the Asda baby event, one that is not fixed to the car, so you strap the child in as if it was an adult seat (sorry, am rubbish with all the technicalities here!).

Any help on this one would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! :)

Have just read this link I found online ten mins ago. Seems that you do not need to have a child seat in the middle if the child is over three years of age and unable to fit third seat in. Phew! Looks like that's what will be happening now.

We did it with ours but it only worked with the narrowest booster seat In the middle.

managed to get three seats across the back of a Skoda Fabia Estate recently.

A cybex shield seat behind passenger, Britax Hiway 2 in the middle and a Besafe izi Up X3 behind the driver. it was a close call but a success.

We could - we pulled the middle set forward so that the seat belt buckles were easier to get to

You can do it with a bublebum or a trunki booster seat in the middle or with a stage one seat being on issofix in the middle
