Has anyone got a which? Subscription and can tell me what high backed booster is recommended?

They seem to vary hugely in cost and type

In the part I've chosen car seats based on which? Recommendations

I really really don't want to have to spend another £150 but I do want DS to be safe

Thanks

Securatot.co.uk have just launched a range of high back boosters, they have based the decision on which seats to sell on the crash test ratings from Stiftung Warentest in Germany who conduct independent tests for car seats .. worth a call I would say :)

I spoke to Securatot recently after our almost 5 year old has outgrown her rearfacing seat - they recommended the BeSafe iZi Up X3 booster even though they don't stock them. We found one locally and it is brilliant, very secure, safe (from reading test results) and comfy for DD, it reclines when she needs to sleep in the car.

Kiddy Cruiserfix Pro, Britax Kidfix SICT, Britax Kidfix, Cybex Solution X2 Fix are the best Isofix ones. You can get a trial subscription to Which for £1 though, just have to remember to cancel before the month is up. Worth it for the detailed reviews.
