Second toddler carseat for lifts etc

We have a 2-way elite (currently rf) for our 20 month old, but I'd like a second spare seat for when we get lifts with other people, as it looks quite daunting to untether the straps and refit it quickly.

I've borrowed one or two ff toddler seats which are so quick to fit with an adult seat belt, and am looking for a cheapish one of those just for short journeys. Has anyone got suggestions of ones which are good value but safe and secure? (some seem quite wobbly to me!)

Thanks!

I would go for a kiddy car seat. Although not cheap are very safe and last a long time. When you toddler has out grown the 2 way this would still be good for another few year. so you could be using it 4 years ish as a second seat and then 6 more years ish as main seat

we have this one in dps car and its so much easier than my maxi cosi priori fix. The straps are alot easier to adjust and i feel hes more secure as they tighten up really well. Its £59 but does 9 months - 11 years.

Takes about 2/3 mins to install in the setting for up to 4 yr olds then 1-2 mins for 4+ year olds

Those seats are the same as the naina ones - the crash test results are scary. Wouldnt recommend any of the kiddicare/babystart/pampero/team tex/naina seats. Meet very basic standards and not likely to pass next legilisation. no side impact protection

The crash test if anyone wants to know: 1 front impact at 32mph, 1 rear impact 18mph - no side impact test

And im not being judgemental at all. I originally purchased an identical babystart seat when I didnt know what I know now about carseat.

OP. I would get a spare set of tethers- £20 and practice installing the TWE.

There is also this new info on impact shield seats

Thanks lagoon, I'll look into that. Once this snowy weather is over and I can bear to be outside fiddling around with the seat, I'll give it a go! Cheers.
