Yes we have, the clip started pulling apart after around 1 year of owning it. We took it back to the seller (halfords) and they replaced the clip. A year later and the same thing is happening again so we are going to go back to halfords and ask for another replacement clip. The clip should be expected to last for the amount of time it is designed to be used so at least from age 9 months to four years. I actually think the seat is rendered dangerous by the faulty clip but we don't really have an option to buy a new seat.

I don't get a sure feeling when I clip in my kids, and I can't buy new seats as I have two Evolva, and three small kids! bought them to accommodate all the kids in turn they both have a clipping problem. I was sure they were the safest and did a lot of research on them. I am disappointed in the manufacturer's blurb on how to wash the clip! I will contact the shop where i bought them and see what they will say....

Me too, the older evolva clips are much better. We have one old one and one newer one and it is only the newer style clip that we've had problems with. You are entitled to a repair or replacement clip under the sale of goods act which writes implied terms into contracts for the sale of goods. Including that goods sold need to be fit for purpose. The clips we have had are not as they are not safe, they have both come apart and unclip themselves.
