Keeping baby entertained in RF car seat

I've just purchased the Besafe Izi Combi. I'm really pleased with it, however I'm finding it hard to attach any toys to it. My baby usually throws them all out within minutes & then whinges! She was fine in her maxi cosi RF seat as the toys stayed in better as its more laid back- it's not because she doesn't like RF. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to entertain her on long journeys? She's 16 months. Thanks!

Dd3 has one of those steering wheel things & a stack of toys. We are lucky dd1/2 will entertain her/return toys though

Our 6 month old is rearfacing. Not sure if this applies to a 16month old but we have a special mirror from Halfords strapped to the headrest - he likes looking at that and we can see him. We also attach toys to his strap e.g. Where toys/books have a plastic loop to fix onto prams, you can add more plastic links to make a chain so she can hold it but not lose it if she drops it.

Singing along to nursery rhyme CDs always works for DS, he's 2.4 and is still rear facing. Also the In The Night Garden musical journey CD is a life saver! I don't think boredom has ever been a problem (except on very long journeys) as DS is so high up in his besafe Izi he just looks out of the window or listens to his CDs

I used a soft fabric baby book for a pushchair attached to the harness with a buggy clip (like <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=buggy+toy+clippasafe+strap&hl=en&biw=1366&bih=667&tbm=isch&tbnid=rUY4Y2EBK3feUM:&imgrefurl=www.thatcuteage.com/p3886-Toy-Ties&docid=kyPA8JlkmuxRWM&imgurl=images.thatcuteage.com/photos/clippasafe-toy-tie-buggy_lg.jpg&w=500&h=500&ei=pqEVUI_JJ8Ps0gXauoHwAQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=532&vpy=194&dur=4758&hovh=225&hovw=225&tx=128&ty=123&sig=114178360909016639541&page=1&tbnh=132&tbnw=137&start=0&ndsp=23&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0,i:79" rel="nofollow noindex" target="_blank">this) so that they couldn't throw/drop it and it wouldn't hurt them in an accident. Seemed to work well and we had a couple so could rotate them as necessary.

Thanks for your replies. Going to try & attach some books like on your photo truthsweet- id already done this with linkies but she always unclips them! I'm going to buy a new cd- even I'm fed up with our current one (we've been playing it for 16 months!). Thanks again
