however safe a car's reputation is I am just not comfortable having one in the front all the time okay? I don't mind it for the odd lift share etc, but not as the permanent situation in the regular family car! I just don't like it!

And that also means that the "navigator" always has to sit in the back for long journeys!

No, sorry that's not what I meant! I thought you were buying a car on the basis of a car seat you didn't own, which was what struck me a bit bonkers!! I just presumed a high back booster fit in pretty much every car.

But then, I haven't had in a small car for years...ive got too many children!!

Sorry, I didn't really read it properly.

Yes. DS has just moved into the Besafe izi 3 Up Fix -and there is plenty of headroom in the Peugeot. My Skoda was fine- very reliable and started even when it was -15 degrees.
But I would get the estate version or at least the 1.4 engine ( I had the 1.2). The peugeot is much nicer and it has a 5 start NCAP safety rating. My old Fabia was 4 star.

Sorry to not be making myself clear, the head room issue is for the up to11 yrs front facing booster with head rest for dc1

cherie I think the izi 3 up fix is a hbb.
The only thing that would put me off the peugeot is the reliability factor. Friend of ours has had one 6 mths and its just come back from the garage for the 3rd timeShock. They are about to cut their losses and trade it in.

Do you have many dealerships near you? I would be tempted to go have a nose around, get a much better idea of size that way and could try the seats to see if there is room.
