Britax two way elite - can you recline it once baby is sat in it?

I've been looking at rear facing car seats for our 11 mo DS2 and have been impressed by the Britax TWE, but, looking at an installation video, it seems to show that to recline it when forward facing you have to take it out of the car, adjust something underneath, and then refit it. I couldn't see any way of reclining it when rear facing.

So, do you have one of these? Does your LO find it comfy / sleep in it okay sat upright? Or have you found a way of adjusting it once LO is in it?

Apologies if there's an obvious way of doing this and I'm just being a numpty Smile but for the life of me I can't see how it's done.

TIA

The TWE doesn't recline but there are 2 positions....the very upright and the laid back position.
My DS was in the laid back position until he was about 2yrs old, he could sleep easily without any head lol. It really only was a few degrees more upright that a baby carrier.
DS is now in the upright position so he can see more, plus he doesn't sleep in the car anymore. He has a lot more leg room in this position, he cannot touch the seat with his feet.
I love the seat and would highly recommend it. We started using it at 9 months of age.

Thanks brachy, given that it looks like we'll have to hike up to Milton Keynes to buy the blessed thing I want to be as sure as we can before deciding to go!

Book we just rang up, had a chat with a brilliant woman who answered all our questions and ordered it over the phone (cheaper than buying online I think).

It arrived the very next day and fitting it was pretty straight forward using the instructions and the you tube videos.

Thanks sugar - I ended up calling them too and was v impressed with the advice they were able to give over the phone so we've also arranged to have one delivered - I'm hoping it will be as easy to fit as the video suggests.

I think the deciding factor was when we all came down with one of the 'winter vomiting bugs' this week and only found out DS2 had caught it when he was massively ill in his car seat Sad. So, I've spent the last day dismantling its cover and harness to wash but am not convinced you can ever totally get rid of the smell when that happens.

Luckily he's now on the mend - although seems to have disowned the idea of solids (although apparently breadsticks are ok!) and has gone back to being totally breastfed Shock.
