We need another HBB for my 7 year old. I'm looking for one that rates highly on safety, allows a lot of room for growth and cost about £70.
DD has just turned 7yrs old, but is small at 18kgs and 116cm. I want her to continue in a HBB for as long as possible so room for growth is an important factor.
Any recommendations?
Many thanks.

maxi cosy rodi for that prise. I got kidfix but they are more money. But my 10 year old is still in hers. I would go and sit your child in a few and get one that has the most growing room. Check it fits in your car at the max height

Sunshine Kids Monterey is great - my 6y is 120cm/20kg and has masses of room to grow (it will fit up to a 150cm child with the back on [providing they don't have exceptionally short legs!]). It has adjustable wings so you can make it snugger for slimmer child too.

You can usually get it for about £60.

DD1 has the pink and grey one (and a grey and black one as a spare). I don't know what one DD2 will choose but I'd love it if the purple one was made available in the UK (SKJP changed their name to Diono in the US last year for some reason so look up Diono Monterey)

My 8 yo DS is in a Concord Lift Evo high backed booster. He still has loads of growing room and says its very comfortable! Think it cost about £90 when we bought it but recently saw it reduced at halfords for £45!

The Rodi scores really highly for safety on the Which reports if that is important to you. It comes in pink too :)

If you are still looking, my son is in a maxi cosi rodi xp, he is only 8 but tall at 135cm so is technically able to ride without a car seat over my dead body Grin.

He seems to still have room in the car sear, his shoulders are a nice height away from the top of the head rest. We are just about to change it due to it being 5 years old and will probably buy another one.

Quick update...we bought a Sunshine Monterey. DD loves it; it's pink!
She says it is the most comfortable seat she has been in and has even fallen asleep in it.
I like the adjustableness of it, plus it can attach to the isofix anchors in DH's car. It is heavy, but so easy to fix, very sturdy looking plus it looks so comfortable.

It's a lovely seat (and pretty reasonably pricedGrin). Glad your DD likes it.
