How do I stop 2 yr old from undoing the clip on her car seat?

Apparently there used to be product you could put over the car seat clip but I can't locate one. Have tried: Mothercare; Argos; ToysRUs; Halfords - all to no avail.

Any ideas most welcome, thanks!

You shouldn't cover the clip at all, no matter what - I never normally shout either but a good rollicking did the trick! Felt awful but i'd have felt much worse if anything had happened in a crash. What seat is DD in?

bodiddly · 17/01/2012 20:45

There used to be a product called a Hugit that was made from clear plastic and would join the two straps together so the child couldnt take their arms out. I dont think they make them any more .... I may well have one in a cupboard somewhere as I bought 2 years back and only used one! PM me if you want me to look.

DD1 tried this (she was angry about something) and we basically frightened her into never doing it again, by pulling over immediately (even though it was a fast road - found a layby) and having a massive go at her. Not my usual parenting style Grin, but it was so important that it was necessary in that one instance.

Thanks for all your replies.

Have tried load bollockings but it's not worked Sad

Will have to swap car seats with DH and see if that works.
