Has anyone had an ERF in a 3 door car?

We're hunting for a new car seat for DH's P reg Audi A3.

DD is 19mo and is now too tall for the Cabriofix we've had in his car. I don't want a FF seat, even though that would be most logical. For the time being, he'll be taking my car on the days he has to drop her off anywhere, but it would still be very useful to have a spare car/seat he NEVER puts my seat back where he found it, the bastard

He doesn't have isofix, so we can't just move my Izi Combi in (apart from being very likely too big to get in the back seat).

Has anyone else put a rf seat in a 3 door car? Or are we bonkers to consider it?

Saying that, I've just had a read through some of the other threads and read about the straps coming from behind their shoulders is ok when rf?

At the moment, they're about an inch below her shoulders but she's only 9th centile for height. But it means that she can wriggle and get her arms out because they pull down off her shoulders

Her current seat is behind the passenger seat, so we're well used to clambering all over the car with her.

The multi-tech is the one I've been thinking about, either that or the twe. I don't suppose you know how they compare, size-wise?

I was thinking about the space in the front - when we go anywhere in my Punto, it feels like my knees are around my ears with the Besafe behind me . I'd at least like the option to have something like normal leg room.

I think the Milton Keynes place sells both seats, so we could have a long day out to try them both, but if the TWE is more like a HBB, I'd probably agree with you and think she's too little to go in one yet.

Ahh, I see! Thanks, yes that makes more sense. I thought you meant it in a sort of 'less bulky, therefore more suitable for older child' sort of way anyway. Sometimes I just read too quickly

I'm in the Midlands, if that's feasible? Just seen on the Britax website that they've launched the Max-way in the UK now too, but I don't know where I'll get to see one of those.
