2.5yo too tall for Group 1 seat - what now?

Just realised DDs head is over the top of her maxi-cosi priori fix, she's not quite 2.5 yet, weighs 16k - I have no idea about group 2/3 seats. How do they work, what is the difference and what would you recommend?

Thanks.

I would get a group 1/2/3 seat. Either with a long harness or an impact shield. Impact shields are safer forward facing and you don't need to worry about her height, but a five point harness is still safer than a seatbelt at her weight/age. You'd have to use the seatbelt when she gets to 18kg though.

pink, it;s ok if her head is over the top. she hasn't outgrown it until the top of her ears are level with the top of the seat.

Top of ears is level with top - she's growing like a weed!

1-2-3 seems to be the next stage for her. I live the Britax Evolva 1-2-3. Try sitting her in one and see if the harness as still got plenty of room for adjusting as the headrest can only go up to a certain point with the harnesses on (which are still needed)

You could try a Mothercare Sola if cost is an option. Basically it's a group 2 seat with an integral five point harness.

I bought one when DD2 grew out of her Britax first class but only weighed 14kg. Only disadvantage is that it doesn't recline.
