Booster Seat or full car seat for my 4year old

Hi, I need to get a new car seat for for my 4year old daughter, i like the idea of a booster seat because I think it would be easier to change between cars, but i'm not sure if the boosters are as safe as a full car seat.

thanks, Nick.

We have the Maxi Cosi Rodi booster for our 4 year old. Would recommend it, very easy to change between cars (rates high on the safety test I think too).

The full seat is better as it has the head support thingmy plus it aligns the seatbelt over their shoulder properly. We have these for our cars, britax ones, easy to move as they are light. also have a booster to use in other people's cars e.g. auntie's as they're easy to sling in the boot, but I wouldn't like to use this all the time until they're 6.

DEF a high backed booster,i wouldnt even consider using a booster without a back for my 7yo,never mind my 5yo, they offer NO protection at all in an accident, all they do is position the belt in the correct place.

thanks for your feedback, i'm definitely going to go for a high backed seat, from the reviews the Graco Junior Maxi looks good. Has anyone used one of these? some of the reviews say that the seat looks uncomfortable if your child is sleeping, do you know of any models that are more comfortable for sleeping children?

i have 2 britax hi-liners (on offer for about £40 at halfords atm) for our older 2,the headrests are a really good shape for supporting their heads when they fall asleep, we have had to move our eldest to a graco as it fits better with our other 2 seats, the headrest is not as supportive and theres def not as much side impact protection as the britax.
