Non-isofix car seat for 16kg DS, ideally rear facing ? volvo

A couple of mishaps have befallen our Izi Combi. DS is also now big enough for the next size up (97cm, 16kg, age 2y 9m). We have a Volvo V70 (2006), non-isofix. I am thinking of the Volvo convertible (similar to Britax multitech). This is for 9-25kg. There is also one for 15-36kg but this might be more a booster seat?

I would prefer rear facing as long as possible for safety reason. Any suggestions?

The Volvo seat is just the Britax Multi-tech re-branded as Volvo so any on-line info on the M-T is good for the Volvo seat.

Another seat to consider is the Britax Two Way Elite which is a 9-25kg rear or forward facing seat. It fits DD1 well and she's nearly 5 (113cm & 19kg) she has plenty of growing room (prob. about 6-9cm in torso height so would be in it to 130cm-ish assuming neither of her sisters outgrow theirs before then).

She is in it forward facing now due to there not being enough room for her looooong legs with 3 across in our Premacy. She would normally cross her legs when rf but with DD3's seat in the middle she can't cross them so we had to turn her ffing.

If you have only 2 seats in the back I'd imagine you'd get a lot longer use out of it rfing than we did but it's still a really good seat.

You can have isofix fitted to a volvo, they are happy to do it, if this would make it any easier to get the right seat for you.
