Rear facing help in Scotland please!

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a rear facing seat but there are only two retailers that I can see in Scotland. One sells the Recaro Polaric (which doesn't fit in my car) and the other sells the BeSafe Izi Combi (which I believe takes up a lot of room).

How have others in Scotland managed to try out rear facing seats and have them fitted properly?

i have the besafe and it fits in my big car fine both front seats fully back(it is in the middle though)
Where are you? happy to let you try mine if near by.

Hi raindroprhyme, thanks for replying. Do you mind me asking where you bought it from? I believe the Pram Centre in Glasgow sells the BeSafe range so I could try that one there I think. I just wondered if anyone had any of the other makes to see what they were like.

We got our BeSafe from a baby shop in Troon while visiting friends - I think it was owned by the same people who have The Baby's Castle in Ayr, maybe called Cowan's?

We have a Volvo V50 and it's not bad for size in ours.

I know Jan Stewart in East Kilbride sells rearfacing seats, I'm not sure what brand though.

Thanks trixy, it's the Polaric they sell, which doesn't fit my make of car.

Hi I had a besafe Izi Combi isofix, which I purchased from the pram centre in glasgow. The manageress is trained in rear facing and I was happy with the service I received. I have a mondeo, and it doesn't take up as much room as I thought it would. There is plenty of room for the front passenger, I didn't have to move the seat forward.

I can certainly send you a few pics if that would help? The pram centre (when I bought mine) were doing a good price, but they are not allowed to advertise it on their website..

We just bought the BeSafe too, because it took up less room than a couple of the other rear facers. It reclines, so takes up more or less space depending on the seat position. It's probably worth a look.
