Car seat if you don't own a car

We don't own a car but when our daughter was born we bought a bugaboo bee and a maxi cosi cabrio seat to go on it. We have travelled successfully both home and abroad with these.

Now our daughter is nearly 12 months old and almost grown out of the car seat. Can anyone recommend what to do next as travelling alone with her as I often do, I can't carry a carseat separately on the off chance I will need it.

I can dial ahead to arrange a seat in some circumstances and keep seats at grandparents' as the most frequently visited places but can anyone suggest a good value solution for the next seat please? (as it will spend a lot of time gathering dust but needs to be there occassionally and preferably be transportable)

Thank you

I went for a MaxiCosi that was supposed to be "the easiest to fit correctly" and also was a reasonable price (I think about 80 quid at the time).
