We have a Britax First Class which can be used from birth to about age four - it starts off rear fcing & then you turn it round at about 20 lbs - can't remember the exact weight & can't access their site from husband's iPhone. It's a bit fiddly to get the baby in & out when it's rear facing due to the position if the seat belt & it's not designed to be taken in & out if the car all the time (a plus in my opinion, I don't like the basket style baby seat). It's very sturdy & DD1?says i's comfortable - only changed to a Britax Evolva (which lasts from 4-12) when DD2 arrived. Their website has a fit finder to tell you if it will fit in your car. Can recommend kiddicare.com for well priced ones & quick (even in snow) delivery.

Second Britax first class- however get it properly fitted in your car. It often doesnt fit correctly in the rearward position.

May be worth looking into Britax two way elite- extended rearfacing.

Thanks Ladies,

Sorry to ask another question but can these 0+ and 1 seats be used with an isofix base or only with a seatbelt? I can't seem to find one that can be used with an isofix base.

Thanks

Britax fix class- seat belt only.

Britax two way - not sure.

Maxi cosi opal....think it has a base

the concord ultimax gets pretty good reviews too

the seatbelts in my car were far too short for one of these types of seat,so make sure you try it in your car before you buy it:)

sloathy. i have the KISS and it can be used from birth to 18kgs with either the seatbelt or isofix.

i also have a britax two way elite which can be used from 9-25kgs and before that used the mc cabrio(neither are isofix). have to say they both have different plus points and cost the same.

:)
