my head is spinning with rear facing carseats- help!

So my DD is a long baby- only has an inch or so to grow before her head is at top of her maxi cosi stage 0. Haven't had her weighed recently but is probably about 10/11kg so by the time she is 9months I probably will defo need new car seat (darn it why cant i have a mini baby who doesn't grow out of everything so fast!)

I want to keep her rear facing as long as possible.

We have a vauxhall corsa - 5 door.

I am thinking about the Besafe RF izi combi but hear its heavy to shift between cars (my MiL has dd sometimes).

Any other ones you would reccomend?

Also if DD were to fall asleep in car is there a car seat which is fairly easy to remove with them asleep in it like the maxi cosi? (gawd am going to miss that carseat!).

Any advice?

oh and I dont think I have isofix points in the car if that helps

I would say the Britax 2way elite. It doesn't need isofix and fits in the car with the seat belt and tether straps.

The reason I recommend it is because it's light so easy to transfer between cars and you can buy an extra set of tether straps to "pre-fit" in your mums car so there is less for her to do. It's got a really tall back so great for taller babies and is 5point harnessed up until 25kg's.

You can get it from the in car safety centre.

Have you seen the KISS as well - it can be isofix of belt fitted, and has a removeable seat part (like a baby seat), that you can easily take out of the main frame when LO is asleep to bring them inside- I think the in car safety centre have them too - or I do in Devon if you're further west :)

We've got one of the Besafe rearfacing (can't remember exactly which one ) and just to reassure you, when dd falls asleep it's very easy to transfer her indoors still asleep and pop to the cot. They're in a more upright sleeping position which isn't ideal for a long time, but makes it easier to undo the straps, lift her onto my shoulder and then carry inside still asleep. It's probably similar with all group 1 onwards seats tbh.

i would say the twe as well. i have the kiss and the twe and the twe is def lighter to move between cars and just leave tether straps in each car, although if you have isofix the kiss is quicker. i got both of mine from the in car safety centre.

well I am somerset but drive to London often and have family in buckinghamshire so milton keynes is no great hardship. Whereabouts in devon carseatcrazy?

My DD would probably wake up if you tried transferring her out of the seat while asleep but then again of late she has been waking up transferring her in her maxi cosi so maybe that time has come to an end!

hmm the TWE is the cheapest option and money is a bit tight at the minute but then I like how KISS is from birth but then again we already have the maxi cosi and base for next one so it isnt essential.

i would just go with twe then if it fits your car. i have both and will need another rf seat next year and will just get another twe. the kiss is handy to fit with isofix but the twe is most versatile and will last longer. if i had of had more pace in my car i would probably have got a different seat.
