Straps are jamming because of a broken plastic bit under the buckle, I've just discovered :-0. V disappointed as not under warranty anymore.

Ds is 4.2 and weighed 32 lbs about a month ago - not sure how tall he is but think around 98 cms. What can I get that is safe and will last us a good while? We have isofix.

I make him almost 15kg but not quite. It depends on how tall he is guessing nor very as he still fits in his toby carseat. We bought our dd2 a isofix duo when she got to tall for her toby carseat as it seam to have the biggest gap between bum and top of the seat. A child can sit in most stage one carseat until there eyes are level with the top of the seat except the toby where it is as soon as their shoulder go above the straps on the highest setting. The other one you could look at is the Jane Montecarlo Plus with the extend ( the extend wasn't available when we had to buy a new seat). It is isofix. We now have a kidfix which we love so it might be worth just getting a cheap stage one for a few mouths until he is heavier and they getting one.

thanks castle - I do like the look of the kidfix and it does seem to be highly recommended so it might be a good idea to hold out for that. I will do some weighing and measuring tonight!
