Child car seat to fit middle seat of Renault Grand Scenic (3 child seats in back)?

Hello
Desperate help needed!
We need to fit 3 car seats in the back of our 05 reg Renault Grand Scenic, and are struggling to find one to go in the middle seat because the seatbelt buckle is kind of integral to the seat which means that an already narrow seat has even less space for a child seat (I'm assuming it is unsafe for the child seat to rest on top of the buckle, as happens when we try our M&P Primo Viaggio in this position?).
The one to go in the middle seat would preferably be a group 2/3 for my 15kg almost 4-y-o, but a group 1 for my 13.5kg almost 2-y-o would solve the problem too. (or even a group 0 for the (on the way) little one that fits the middle would be a temporary solution.
I know there has been lots of chat on the internet on the issue of fitting 3 seats in a scenic, but I have not found a satisfactory answer to the middle seat prob.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
(apologies for the rambling post...!)

I've had three maxi cosi car seats in a scenic. A Apriori on the left side, a booster in the middle & maxi cosi on the right side.

Thanks for replying, bluecardi - I am v. stressed over this issue as we can't afford to change our car but obviously want the kids to all be safe. Can I ask what kind of booster it was that fitted in the middle? Was it a high-back booster or the ones without the back?
Thanks very much!

it was the maxi cosi booster with out the back. I can check it tomorrow with the back so see if it fits with a priori seat & a maxi cosi.
You might find lifting the stage one seat tough on the back if it's on the middle seat plus if you have to get it over other kids or carseats.

Our renault garage is always very helpful - your garage might know which seat would work the best.

Thanks again. I did previously phone our local renault garage and they said that they do not recommend fitting any stage car seat at all in the middle back seat. Their advice was to fit one in the front seat and disable the airbag.
However, we have managed to find a Group 1 seat to fit the middle, and our existing Group 0 and Group 1-2-3 seats fit at the sides! Am very relieved.
The Britax Eclipse Group 1 is the one that fits in the middle of the Grand Scenic - it has a small base which is shaped to fit easily between the two fixed seat belts with no buckle crunch risk. The actual seat is not as small as the base, but as it is raised up by the base, it fits great.
Our Primo Viaggio baby seat fits easily next to it, and our old group 1-2-3 (a Mamas and Papas one that has since been discontinued) fits on the other side.
We has this fitted at both Mothercare and Halfords, and the fitters both agreed that it was safe, and we are 100% happy with it ourselves.
Hope this info helps somebody else!
It would still be great to find a group 2-3 seat (high-back-booster that fits the middle seat too, but at least we don't have to trade our car in within the next 10 weeks before the baby is born!

That's a relief. This info should be on renault website to help others. Safety is so important.
