Just that really.

i waiting for cancer results.

i was fast tracked 2 weeks ago and since then ive had mri, bloods, biopsy.

i was told that the MDT meeting on Tuesday could include my case, but apparently not.

i spoke to the CNS Nurse on the phone this morning (eventually) who said I will be included in next weeks MDT, which is Tuesday!!

I know that I’ve been seen really quickly but it’s this waiting that’s really getting to me now.

its on my mind constantly. Can’t really concentrate on anything else and next Tuesday is so far away.

im not even sure I’ll get told then, I suspect they’ll give me an appointment for a face to face that’ll probably be the week after, so another wait.

how am I supposed to get through the next two weeks and remain sane. This is a whole different level of torture.

i know I’m not alone and everyone goes through the same process so, any tips or tricks you can offer?

I think you have to tell yourself this is precious time where they don't have you. Make the most of this time. I used to say they don't have me until they have me in this pre results time.

If you are starting a treatment phase you will kick yourself for not enjoying this time ...as hard as that sounds. Live, fight hard not to be frozen 💐

Definitely as @Anyahyacinth says.
I was spiralling out of control with worry, from my first appointment 1/09 until confirmation with surgeon on 10/09
I kept myself busy and distracted in a state of shock, saw friends, family, dog walks, nice meals, wine with friends, I know naughty, but I don’t regret it. It was what I needed to sometimes just relax.
Do what makes you happy. Even if you pretend it’s not happening to you. For now it’s not!!
Be strong and go have some fun xxx

I agree, you have to tell yourself even if it's the worst ...this is precious liveable time...not to be squandered...I'm hoping it's something utterly benign but if not bank some happy times in this period.

Every time panic rushes back in...please say "not now, it's not happening now" ~ because it isn't.

If you have to have treatment you will look at this unscheduled time and wish you'd enjoyed it (whilst kicking the panic into the distance every time it rises) 💐🌿💐

My mum still maintains that this was the worst period for her. Once she knew what she was dealing with and had a plan, she was OK. The not knowing was the worst.

I hope the news is better than you think Flowers

Oh and I'm still here and other half who had non hodgkins lymphoma in 1997 is still here too ...there's 2 good outcomes. Mostly if a day doesn't have healthcare in it...don't let them have your mind 💐💐💐 imagine saying not now...putting it in a box and kicking it far away. Then do your favourite things (for me cafe and cake, friends, massage etc etc ...)

If it happens there is so much support for you ...you won't be alone

Thank you for all your wise words.

I need to make a concerted effort to get going with things and not just sit here counting down the minutes until Tuesday.

I do love a jigsaw so will get one out and make myself do it.

I suppose I need to be bloody minded over it and refuse to wallow. X

@NewLifter that’s exactly it! It’s the frustration and stress, which turns into worry, that’s getting to me. I’m not the most patient person anyway. Even when I read a book I start at the last page because I can’t wait to see what happens 😂.
