Why have they asked to scan my liver?

I’ve been diagnosed with grade 3 stage 1 (so far) TNBC due to start chemo next week. They’ve done some bloods on me last week and I’ve just had a call from the ultrasound dept asking to scan my liver before I start chemo. My head is now going into overdrive they’ve found something, I’ve called my cancer nurse but it’ll take some time to call me back. Has anyone had this and know if it could be anything routine?

Bilirubin levels are raised (44). Feel like I’m on a spiral right now.

I had this and it freaked me out. Liver was fine. It will be out of the utmost caution but I get why you are freaking out. Can you distract yourself with something simple like a good show or music? Or call the breast nurses for support? Breast cancer now is also very good. Sending strength xx
