Is there anyone here who has had significantly elevated ca19-9 and slightly raised amylase ? Or just the ct scans of the same area.
Then had ct scans of the abdomen and pelvis and the pancreas?
Mine have come back abnormal on both but I'm wondering if it wasn't to do with the pancreas itself would the pancreas CT still say abnormal aswell as the abdomen and pelvis one ?
If it was to do with just the pancreas would only the pancreas CT say abnormal and the abdomen and pelvis say ok ?
Or would they just both say abnormal anyway ?

I'm a female if that changes anything as I know there is an overian cancer that raises ca19-9 instead of ca125.

Thanks !

When you say the CT scans have come back abnormal, what exactly was abnormal about them? Usually CT reports don’t just say normal or abnormal, they will be a narrative report, like ‘2.5cm mass noted on the xxx, venous abnormality on the liver, etc’ One of my recent ones noted that a particular structure was an unusual size. Nothing to do with cancer. I also have an abnormal arrangement of the veins in my brain. 🤷🏻‍♀️ That also gets noted, but it’s nothing to do with my cancer, just a weird thing. They should say exactly what was unexpected in the report.
