So....slowly coming to terms with my up-coming Lumpectomy with Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy.
I still can't believe it...it's only 5 days since I found out. (which as everyone knows the worst part is not knowing)...the shock of being told and the emotional rollercoaster since hasn't exactly been great. Thankfully I've found there is so much support out there including here. Thank you all who commented on my previous posts. I found my lump a few weeks ago. Then went for Mammogram, Ultrasound and Biopsy on the 1st September - diagnosed on the 10th September when I met my Surgeon and Breast Nurse.
Trying to keep positive, so full on pre-hab mission,
making sure I am in the best possible place both physically and mentally before surgery. I'm actually so scared! Bloody C! What an inconvenience it is!
Whoever recommended "The Complete Guide to Breast Cancer : How to feel empowered and take control" Thank you so much. It has helped me face up to my diagnosis, the journey I am now on and put my big girl pants on!
If anyone wants to add advice on what I need with me for surgery please let me know...I've ordered bra's and a V pillow. I'm batch cooking. Getting the house in order.
Thanks so much, trying to be grateful for each and every day!
