Not cancer as such, but am going through it. I have night sweats, I have chemo sweats, I have menopause sweats as a result of treatment and I am seriously struggling. I am not sleeping well. Ive got fans etc. Rooms are dark. I cant swim as I have a picc line.

Any suggestions to keep cool? Im in a drought area of the UK. I want it to rain so bad but still none forecast

Have you spoken to your oncologist about how bad it is? There are meds which can help. Good luck, lack of sleep makes everything harder to deal with

You can buy a cooling blanket thing like the ones you get for pets. They stay cool by some sort of magic. I had one and it was fantastic. Not when I had cancer as thankfully I didn't have problems with staying cool then but when it's been hot it has been a godsend.

Cheap hack. Fill a hot water bottle three quarters full and put it in the freezer for a couple of hours. Have it in your tummy in bed and you can rest your wrists on it which helps in the same way as putting them in cold water.

I have a Japanese cooling blanket which helps.

hrt Also helped me but you may not be able to take that.

you can get cooling pillows as well

i also use freezer packs intended for picnic baskets - keep in freezer and get out when going to bed. They stay cool for quite a long time.
